What is Bollywood Laughter Yoga Dance?

Created by the founder of Laughter Yoga, Dr Madan Kataria, in 2019, Bollywood Laughter Yoga Dance is a unique aerobic exercise routine combining Bollywood dancing with laughter sounds, clapping and deep breathing.

This gives you an amazing inside-outside workout, releasing stress it’s really cathartic whilst being cardio exercise too.

The activity is extremely popular because movement, music, and laughter sounds (ho and ha) are easy, and positive chemicals flow into your body very quickly – you’ll feel amazing after just 1 dance, but after all 4 – you’ll feel light, happier – in fact, buzzing! and have tons of energy.  

Since 2020 we’ve been delivering Bollywood Laughter Dance online and in-person. From festivals, to communities, and to businesses, it appeals to such a wide audience and bonds participants together. 

At Serious Laughter, we love helping clients to feel like that they are thriving in life – and this is definitely an activity where you feel this way! Plus, what a way to make a lasting memory – having fun with laughter!  

A real injection of joy and happiness!

Sara Kay from Serious Laughter leads you with instructions however the main objective is to move and have fun!

Adapted for all abilities, participants can take part in this type of Bollywood dancing, seated or standing.

Serious Laughter is also able to offer Bollywood Laughter Yoga Dance to your company/community either on its own, or as an extra to your workshop (the session lasts 30-45 minutes). 

We offer Bollywood Laughter Yoga Dance at community sessions and festivals too!
